KARMA 2: Using KARMA to auto-sustain notes until you play another chord
Scenario
You want to make the Korg M3, Kronos or OASYS sustain all notes until you play another chord (like the "auto-sustain" function found on some arranger keyboards).
Procedure (M3)
We are going to use GE 2090 RT Real-Time Bend, which is the GE that is doing the guitar hammer-on bending in Program A050 Screaming Tube Guitar (it's also fading in the feedback with CCs). But in this case, we just want it for its ability to sustain notes.
- Select Program A035 Analog Strings (M3 v1.x) or C075 Analog Strings (M3 v2.x).
- Go to 7-1-1 KARMA GE Setup. Touch the GE Category Select Button, go to the RealTime tab, and choose 2045 RT Real-Time Bend.
- Go to 7-1-8 Trigger and turn off "Quantize Triggers" (or you will feel a slight delay when playing).
- Turn on KARMA and the LATCH switch and play a chord or pad. You will hear some bending, and some fluttering from the CCs.
- Go to 0-6 KARMA RTC, and turn off Switch 1 Bend On/Off. Now no bending is happening.
- Turn off Switch 7 FX/Ctrl Env. On/Off. Now no CCs are being generated.
- Play a chord on the keyboard, or a pad - voila, the notes sustain forever, until the next chord is played.

- Select Program I-E058 Fresh Air (Kronos) or A037 Fresh Air (OASYS).
- Go to 7-1 KARMA GE Setup. Touch the GE Category Select Button, go to the RealTime tab, and choose 2045 RT Real-Time Bend.
- Go to 7-4 Trigger and turn off "Quantize Triggers" (or you will feel a slight delay when playing).
- Turn on KARMA and play a chord or pad. You will hear some bending, and some fluttering from the CCs.
- Go to 0-6 KARMA GE, and turn off Switch 1 Bend On/Off. Now no bending is happening.
- Turn off Switch 7 FX/Ctrl Env. On/Off. Now no CCs are being generated.
- Play a chord on the keyboard, or a pad - voila, the notes sustain forever, until the next chord is played.
