KARMA 2: Reference Chart of all RTC Models
The following tables show the basic setup for each RTC Model. As shown in the color chart below, different colors have been used to show the basic grouping of controls within each RTC Model:

Note that within the RTC Models, there is a great deal of standardization between models – the Repeat parameters are always in the same places (as much as possible), Force Mono is always on Switch 1 (if it exists), etc. The only place where Karma-Lab did not follow this in the design of the RTC Models is the fact that DP1 – Drum/Perc has the 3 Pattern On/Off parms on Switches 1, 2, and 3, while DM1 – Drum Melodic has them on 2, 3 and 4. In this case, for DM1 it was deemed desirable to keep Force Mono on Switch 1, since this is a melodic phrase-producing GE, similar to other melodic phrase-producing GEs. DP1 - Drum/Perc could also have the 3 patterns on 2, 3 and 4, but it was deemed more intuitive when working with drums that the 3 patterns were on 1, 2 and 3.

| Note: The slider/switch names describe how they change the sound generated by the GE. They are not names of specific GE parameters. Some of them control multiple GE parameters at the same time. To determine exactly what a specific slider or switch in this RTC Model is doing, look in the ASSIGN fields of the GE RTP tab of the KARMA pages for a combi or program. This will tell you the specific GE parameters (and their min, max and assigned values) corresponding to that slider/switch. You can then look up the definition of these parameters in the Parameter Guide for your keyboard model. |
