Note: The slider/switch names describe how they change the sound generated by the GE. They are not names of specific GE parameters. Some of them control multiple GE parameters at the same time. To determine exactly what a specific slider or switch in this RTC Model is doing, look in the ASSIGN fields of the GE RTP tab of the KARMA pages for a combi or program. This will tell you the specific GE parameters (and their min, max and assigned values) corresponding to that slider/switch. You can then look up the definition of these parameters in the Parameter Guide for your keyboard model.

Slider/Switch descriptions

Slider 1 Rhythm Swing % Controls the percentage of swing (or hip-hop feeling). 0% = no swing, 50% = triplets, and 100% pushes the swung notes all the way to the next value of half the note length set by the “Swing Note Value” parameter. A value of 101 selects +200%, and a value of 102 selects –200%.
Slider 2 Pattern Variation This changes the Index Pattern Template of the GE
Slider 3 Duration Control Controls the length of time (sustain) of generated notes. The values available (i.e. percentage-based or time-based) are dependent upon the Duration Mode parameter's setting, which is not typically accessible in the keyboard itself. See the Duration Control Reference article for more detail.

Slider 8 Repeat Transpose [needs description]
Switch 1 Force Mono Sets whether the GE will play monophonically (ON) or polyphonically (OFF). When switched ON, clusters will be suppressed and only one note (the lowest note) will be played, and note durations will not overlap the next triggered note in the series. Useful for thinning out dense GEs for polyphonic programs, or correcting the behaviour of monophonic programs.
Switch 2 Pattern On/Off [1] Turns ON or OFF Pattern 1 by switching the Drum: Pattern Vel. Offset [1] value between 0 (ON - no change to velocity) and -127 (OFF - reduce all velocity values to zero), effectively controlling the volume of the pattern.
Switch 3 Pattern On/Off [2] Turns ON or OFF Pattern 2 by switching the Drum: Pattern Vel. Offset [2] value between 0 (ON - no change to velocity) and -127 (OFF - reduce all velocity values to zero), effectively controlling the volume of the pattern.
Switch 4 Pattern On/Off [3] Turns ON or OFF Pattern 3 by switching the Drum: Pattern Vel. Offset [3] value between 0 (ON - no change to velocity) and -127 (OFF - reduce all velocity values to zero), effectively controlling the volume of the pattern.
Switch 5 Bend On/Off Turns ON or OFF pitch-bending effects, which are further programmed or controlled by these GE RTP (see below): Bend: Start %, Bend: Length (on Switch 6), and Bend: Amount (on Switch 7).
Switch 6 Bend Length [needs description]
Switch 7 Bend Direction Controls the direction of the pitch-bend effect as programmed by the Bend: Amount GE RTP. In respect of this RTC Model, it is most commonly programmed to bend down or up -12 / +12 semitones. Note: the actual resulting size of the bend also depends on the setting of the Bend Range parameter, which sets the overall pitch-bend range for the GE. Furthermore, adjustments may be required to the timbre's pitch-bend settings in order for the bending effects to work properly.
Switch 8 Repeat Volume/Decay [needs description]

GE Real-Time Parameters (32 GE RTP)

The following table shows the default GE Real-Time Parameters in an initialized RTC model. It's very rare that any of the parameters with slider/switch assignments are ever changed for a particular GE based on this RTC model. However a KARMA Designer will quite often change some of the non-assigned parameters, particularly in the 17-32 range, so some of the parameters that you see in a specific GE using this RTC model might not exactly match the following table.
