Below this point are some incomplete tutorials I'm working on…

Tutorials:

Auto-sustain chords using a Gated GE

Technique M3:

  1. Select Program
  2. Press the Page Select button and then go to 7-1-1 KARMA GE Setup.
  3. Touch the GE Category Select Button, select to the Gated tab, and choose GE 1276 Dr Chopper 2.
  4. Turn on KARMA and the LATCH switch and play a chord or pad. You will hear the gated effect. Turn off KARMA for now.
  5. Now press the Page Select button and go to P-7-2 GE RTP (GE Real-Time Parameters).
  6. On the screen, touch the 25-32 button near the top and locate parameter number 26: GE GATE CC Number
  7. Turn of the CC gate effect by setting the value to -1.
  8. Turn on KARMA (with Latch on) and play a chord. You should hear the chord sustaining indefinitely. Play another chord and the old chord stops and the new chord sustains.
  9. (Optional) Assign parameter 26 to a switch, another controller via DynMIDI, or to a KARMA scene change via a Perf RTP in order to switch between a gated effect and the auto-sustain effect. The Min value is -1; the Max value is 11.
  10. (Optional) Assign the Quantize Triggers the same switch above as a Perf RTP, so that there is no delay when playing auto-sustained chords, but the gated effect will be quantized and sync to the MIDI clock. In the Trigger group, select Quantize Triggers. Set the Min value to 0000 = Off; set the Max value to 0001 = On.
  11. (Optional) Turn off the KARMA envelopes using parameter 22 Env: On/Off [2], or assign this to a switch or controller if desired.
