User:shannong: Index of @GLOBAL
The @GLOBAL folder contains several PCG files that are used to globally configure the M3 for different uses:
- CLEAN.PCG wipes the M3 entirely clean of all data except for a full set of system preload data (minus the demo songs and RADIAS formant motions), some additional Karma-Lab-developed combis, and some additional Korg-developed RADIAS combis and EDS programs in one easy step. It also loads Global settings equivalent to PLAY_STD.PCG. Just using the GLOBAL Load Preload/Demo Data command is fine for restoring some things to their default state, but it won't do things like clearing out program/combi banks that aren't used for system default programs and combis, or restoring my preferred global settings, or restoring Korg-produced RADIAS combis to bank I-F, or clearing out the user drum patterns.
- KM3.PCG resets only the Global settings to a state suitable for working with the KARMA M3 Software.
- PLAY_STD.PCG resets only the Global settings to a state suitable for general playing. Note that this PCG is identical to REC_M_24.PCG.
- REC_M_1.PCG resets only the Global settings to a state suitable for recording the M3's keyboard and KARMA engine using Method 1 (and also for recording audio tracks from the KARMA engine).
- REC_M_24.PCG resets only the Global settings to a state suitable for recording the M3's keyboard and KARMA engine using Methods 2 and 4.
- REC_M_3.PCG resets only the Global settings to a state suitable for recording the M3's keyboard and KARMA engine using Method 3.
Loading the folder contents
To completely restore the M3 to my preferred "clean state", load the entire CLEAN.PCG file.
To restore only my preferred global settings, clear out the user drum patterns, or restore the 128 Korg-produced RADIAS combis, drill into the CLEAN.PCG file and load the Global Setting object or the Drum Patterns object or load combi bank I-F, respectively.
